Educational & Professional Background

Brianne Erichsen is a Registered Clinical Social Worker (RCSW #19415), having completed 1600 hours of supervised post-graduate clinical hours and the ASWB Clinical Social Work licensing exam. Clinical Social Workers are regulated under the Health Professions Act in Alberta, are authorized to use diagnostic tools including the DSM-V, and provide treatment services that are income tax-deductible and can be claimed under most extended health insurance policies.

Brianne works from an emotion focused, attachment framework and incorporates bottom up processing methods such as Sensorimotor Psychotherapy , EMDR and also uses methods such as Internal Family Systems, CBT, and DBT. Brianne is also taking training in level 2 Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and is excited to offer more of this approach in her work!

Brianne enjoys working with clients who are ready to identify both healthy and unhealthy patterns of coping, gain awareness of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours and how their minds and bodies respond to current and past situations. Brianne's goal is to create a safe, compassionate, non judgemental environment for you to process whatever feels as though it may be getting in the way of you making the change you are longing for in your life. Brianne looks forward to supporting you in creating a felt sense of security and confidence within yourself,  working alongside you in your therapeutic journey.
